All classes get together to share tunes and play together

As well as individual instrument classes, each week classes of similar levels are brought together to give them the chance of playing as a group.  This develops their music ability and forms the basis for playing in seisiúns outside the school.

We also form Grupa Cheoil (music groups) for the younger students who meet weekly to play together and form musical arrangements for concerts and competitions.

A monthly seisiún takes place 2 Royal Avenue, Belfast.  Details are posted monthly to our social media pages.
This seisiun brings together all young Traditional Irish musicians across Belfast from 2pm to 4pm on a Sunday.

Our adult students also have the opportunity to play together in The Crown & Shamrock, Mallusk, every Sunday night from 8pm for older adults, and every Wednesday from 8.30pm for older teens/young adults.

These seisiúns welcome all levels of players and singers from across the region.

  Yearly Program

For 2024/2025, tuition is available in the following instruments: Fiddle, Flute, Tin Whistle, Harp, Bodhran, Guitar (standard tuning), Banjo/Mandolin, Button Accordian, Concertina, Uilleann Pipes, Traditional Singing and Beginners Highland Bagpipes.

Beginner Tin Whistle and beginner Fiddle classes for adults are also be available.

Our 15-week Term 1 begins on 12 September 2024, with a 12 week Term 2 starting in February 2025.
