Pupils have the opportunity to do exams in Traditional Music
Pupils have the opportunity to study grades 1-8 in Traditional Irish Music through our school programme with support from both GSOTM teachers and staff. For more information email us at: gsotm.co.uk@gmail.com
All classes get together to share tunes and play together
As well as individual instrument classes, each week classes of similar levels are brought together to give them the chance of playing as a group. This develops their music ability and forms the basis for playing in seisiúns outside the school.

We also form Grupa Cheoil (music groups) for the younger students who meet weekly to play together and form musical arrangements for concerts and competitions.

A monthly seisiún takes place 2 Royal Avenue, Belfast. Details are posted monthly to our social media pages.
This seisiun brings together all young Traditional Irish musicians across Belfast from 2pm to 4pm on a Sunday.
Our adult students also have the opportunity to play together in The Crown & Shamrock, Mallusk, every Sunday night from 8pm for older adults, and every Wednesday from 8.30pm for older teens/young adults.
These seisiúns welcome all levels of players and singers from across the region.
