Beginner and advanced classes for all ages

Pupils have the opportunity to do exams in Traditional Music

Pupils have the opportunity to study grades 1-8 in Traditional Irish Music through our school program. click here to find out more info.

All classes get together to share tunes and play together

As well as individual instrument classes, each week classes of similar levels are brought together for 30 mins to give them the chance of playing as a group.  This develops their music ability and forms the basis for playing in seisuins outside the school.

We also form Grupa Ceols for the younger students who meet weekly to play together and form musical arrangements for concerts and competitions.

A junior monthly seisuin takes place in Mayfield Village hall on the last Sunday of every month from 2-4pm, while adults meet in the Crown and Shamrock in Mallusk every other Sunday night from 8pm.

  Yearly Program

For 2018/2019 Tuition in the following instruments - Fiddle, Flute, Tin Whistle, Harp, Bodhran, Guitar (dadgad and standard tuning), Banjo/Mandolin, Button Accordian, Concertina, Uilleann Pipes and Ballad singing.

Each summer we offer older students the opportunity to travel to Gortahork in Co Donegal where students attend daily workshops and play in daily seisuins and culminates in a trip to Tory Island.
