We hope that you and/or your child will be attending the Seisuin at 2 Royal Ave, Arts
Space, Belfast City Centre on Sunday 30 January.
We are excited about the opportunity we are providing to GSOTM pupils and to other young Belfast Trad Musicians to come together and play in a seisuin setting.
We look forward to welcoming you to the event.
Please read this email and make sure you are aware of our Covid-19 precautions
and procedures.
Belfast City Council manage 2 Royal Ave and anyone attending the seisuin are obliged to adhere to both the venues and our own protocols. We are relying on everyone’s strict compliance and co-operation, please help us create a safe environment for everyone involved.
GSOTM are committed to the health and wellbeing of our students, tutors and
staff. We agree the entrance requirements for 2 Royal Ave as follows:
Adults attending with their children will need to bring one of the following:
Proof of full vaccination, with the second dose having been given at least 14 days prior, i.e. a Covid vaccine record cards or a COVID Cert NI Certificates or a NHS Covid Pass.
Proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test taken no more than 24 hours prior to the workshop, i.e. an official SMS message or email which you will receive after completing and registering your Lateral Flow Test result at https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result.
Proof of natural immunity shown by a positive PCR test result for Covid-19 issued between 30 and 180 days earlier, i.e. an official SMS message or email.Â
PLEASE NOTE: IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE FOR ADULTS TO GAIN ENTRY TO 2 ROYAL AVE WITHOUT ONE OF THE ABOVE
Covid-19 Precautions:
Use the hand sanitiser located around the building and wash your hands often!Â
Face coverings should be worn in public areas when moving around building
Face coverings are encouraged when not playing.
Maintain social distancing of 1 metre minimum, 2 metre preferable
Adhere to the venues Track & Trace System
If you show any signs of Covid-19 please do not attend the seisuin
What to expect when you arrive at 2 Royal Ave:
Please arrive no earlier than 15 mins before the advertised start time, which is 2pm.
The seisuin is located at the rear of the main auditorium of the building, you may ask 2 Royal Ave staff to direct you there.
The area where the seisuin will be held is for young musicians/tutors only and this area will be sectioned off.
Musicians from the various Trad Music Providers should sit together in their own bubble and will be greeted and directed to appropriate seating by GSOTM staff.
Parents /family members should remain outside the area where the seisuin is taking place throughout the seisuin.
We would ask that all musicians/family members please follow all guidance provided by 2 Royal Ave staff when moving around the building.
What to expect during the seisuin:
Windows/doors will be open to aid ventilation where appropriate.
The seisuin is scheduled in two parts with a slow seisuin 2-3 pm and a seisuin for stronger musicians from 3-4pm and we would ask that parents/pupils exit the building as soon as possible after the seisuin finishes and do not congregate chatting in groups.
What to do if you become ill during the seisuin:
Let our tutor know immediately and leave the seisuin.
If you become unwell after the seisuin please follow Public Health Agency advice on testing on contact tracing.
