Traditional Singing Class

Miadhachlughain O'Donnell is a brilliant young flute player and traditional singer from Castlewellan, Co. Down, who worked in a local Irish Language school until music became her main job.

Miadhachlughain has grown up steeped in, and surrounded by, traditional music, so it is no coincidence that she has become consummate and charismatic performer both in her own right and working with other artists.

Her Irish Traditional roots have been instilled since birth. Her mother Tiona McSherry was the lead singer in the highly acclaimed 90’s band Tamalin and her uncle John McSherry is regarded as one of the finest Uilleann pipers of all time.
